Seniors Results

The overall winner last Thursday was Pat Gannon with a score of 44 points. Category winners were:- Category one was won by Gerry Emmett with 37 points; Category two was won by Donal Collins with 39 points and Category three was won by Ken Moran with 34 points. The front nine was won by Robbie Donaldson with 21 points and the back nine was won by Seamus Sheeran with 20 points. Golf as usual next Thursday.

The following are the golfer of the year positions with 10 competitions played in the Ladies section and 8 competitions played in the gents. In the Ladies Gross 1stplace is Geraldine Farry on 289pts 2nd Phil Emmett 225pts. 3rd Siobhan Talbot 198pts. Senior Results

The overall winner last Thursday was Seán McMonagle with a score of 39 points. Category one winner was Anthony Noone with 38 points; Category two was won by Damien Duignan with 39 points and Category three winner was Edward Liston with 34 points. The front nine was won by Paddy Duffy with 19 points and the back nine was won by Tommy Mulvey with 19 points. Golf as usual next Thursday.

Club President Oliver Curran’s Prize Results.

The club would like to thank our club President Oliver Curran on his weeklong celebrations of his President’s prize. The club would like to thank all the members who took part and also the very large crowd who attended the Presentation of prizes on Sunday night. A very special word of thanks to the course staff and volunteers despite the weather had the course in excellent conditions. Also to the volunteers who worked in the office, and the Bar and catering staff who provided excellent food to members and guests. The club would like to thank Dolores Mulvey who took all the photos on the night and all who made the night such a success. Oliver has held the position of Captain in 2013 and also various officer roles in the club over the years and also a trustee of the club. The club would also like to thank men’s vice-captain Paul Reid for his excellent M.C. duties. Congrats to all the winners. All prizes on the night were purchased from our very loyal sponsors. Ladies Wednesday Scramble results. 1 st Anne Cox, Helen O’Malley and Jenny Bruen. With a net score of 29. 2nd Phil McWeeney, Teresa Duignan and Helen Lavin. 31net. 3rd Ann Keenan Marie King and Molly Daly32net. On Thursday the seniors competed and the results were as follows. The past President winner was Jim King and the junior winner was Luke Creighton. Over the week up to 250 members took part which shows the respect which Oliver has with club members well done.

Lady Captain Sheila Carney Captains Day Results.

A big thank you to all who played and supported our very popular lady captain Sheila Carney. The very large crowd on the night of the presentation showed the great respect that Sheila has with all club members. Seniors Results

A very successful outing took place to Castledargan on Monday the 17th July. Eight teams of three players took part in a Texas Scramble Stableford competition. The overall winning team members were; John O’Mahony; Michael Delorey and Ken Moran with a score of 50 points. The runner-up team members were: P J Sharkey; Sean McMonagle and John Burke KV with a score of 49 points. Anthony Noone; Pascal McGuire and Dermot Monaghan came third with a score of 48 points. The overall winner last Thursday was Leo Kavanagh with a score of 42 points. Category one winner was Gerry Emmett with 41 points; Category two was won by Robbie Donaldson with 38 points and Category three winner was John Burke KV with 37 points. The front nine was won by Paddy Duffy with 23 points and the back nine was won by Frank McGrath with 24 points. Golf as usual next Thursday.

Seamus Mulhern wins Oliver Curran Presidents Prize to the Seniors

The President’s prize to the Seniors took place last Thursday and the overall winner was Seamus Mulhern with 40 points. Category one was won by Pat Gannon with 39 points; Category two winner was Michael Delorey with 35 points and Martin Talbot won Category three with 35 points. The front nine was won by Chris Lowe with 21 points and the back nine was won by Robbie Donaldson with 18 points. Our thanks to the President Oliver Curran for sponsoring the prizes and for providing food and refreshments on the day. The next outing will take place on Monday the 17th July to Castledargan. Golf as usual next Thursday.

The following were the winners on Thursday 28th June:- The overall winner was Dermot Mc Namara with 39 points. Category winners:- Category 1Tommy Mulvey 37 points; Category 2 Robbie Donaldson 36 points and Category 3 Gerrard Fitzgerald with 39 points. Chris Lowe won the front nine with 20 points and the back nine was won by Michael Delorey with 20 points.

Club Presidents Prize.

The club would like to wish good luck to our club President Oliver Curran next weekend in his Presidents prize. Can all members book online and check into the office. Meal will be at 7pm on Sunday evening and presentation of prizes will be at 8pm.

Voucher Competition Results.
