The A.G.M of the Gents club was held last Friday Night. The outgoing Captain thanked all the various officers and Committee and members of the club for their support and help over the past year. On last Wednesday evening the 15th of November the ladies held their A.G.M in the club house. A very large crowd attended. The ladies thanked the outgoing Captain Sheila Carney and her Committee for the excellent work over the past year, and every one present wished the incoming Lady Captain Anne Cox and her team good luck for 2024. It is with deep sadness that we all here in the club share the news of the death of our past Lady Captain Mary Menton. Termonfeckin, formerly of Boyle and Clontarf . Beloved daughter of the late Dr Brendan and Anna Menton. Much loved partner of Robin and wonderful cherished sister of Brendan, Kevin, Colm and Malachy, and sister in laws Linda, Audrey, Geraldine and Barbara. Adored aunt of Ronan, Aisling, Ailbhe, Niamh, Sarah, Suzanne, Jill, Kevin, Peter, Kenneth, Brendan, Danielle, Emma, Jack and Cathal and her grand nieces and nephews. Also greatly missed by her aunt Gina, by her former husband Michael and her extended family friends and business colleagues. Mary’s Funeral service took place on Thursday, 2nd November, at 11.30am in St. John’s Church, Clontarf Road, followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium. Mary was a very popular and hardworking member of the club. The club would like to extend its sympathy to all her Family and friends.
