Brendan Boyle Captains Prize Results.

Congrats to our Captain Brendan Boyle who hosted his Captains Prize recently, with over 140 players playing 45 holes, The Captains Dinner and Presentation was on Sunday night with a large crowd of Brendan’s Family and friends attending. Patrick Martin wins Connacht Silver Medal

Another Connaught medal for Carrick on Shannon Golf Club.Patrick Martin son of Philip & Annmarie proudly represented his club in the Golf Ireland Under 15 Close Championship which was held recently at Mountbellew Golf Club.Patrick Tuffy from Strandhill came first with a score of 38 points, Patrick Martin came a close second with 36 points. Patrick represents his Club again this month when He plays with our Carrick Junior Cup team at the All Ireland semi finals in Mannon Castle in Co. Monaghan. Charlie Boyle who also plays in the Junior Cup team represented Carrick in the U16 Boys event. We wish the young men & their team the best of luck in the all Ireland semi finals. Gents Results Cottage G.O.Y.

The following are the results of the Cottage G.O.Y. Division 1 winner Tommy Mulvey 35pts. Div 2 Liam Bruen 40pts. Div 3 Nathan Casey 38pts. We would like to thank Shamzuri Hanifa for his very generous sponsorship.

Ladies Results

The results of the Lunney’s Filling Station sponsored competition are as follows 1st Margaret Kiloran 32pts. 2nd Phil Emmett 32pts. Gross Siobhan Talbot 27pts 3rd Lisa Casey 31pts. We thank Lunneys for their very generous sponsorship.

Seniors Results

The overall winner last Thursday was Pat Gannon with a score of 44 points. Category winners were:- Category one was won by Gerry Emmett with 37 points; Category two was won by Donal Collins with 39 points and Category three was won by Ken Moran with 34 points. The front nine was won by Robbie Donaldson with 21 points and the back nine was won by Seamus Sheeran with 20 points. Golf as usual next Thursday.

Junior Cup Golfers Win Connacht Final.

Congratulations to Captain Dylan Beirne and our junior cup team on winning the Connacht final last weekend in Westport. They defeated Galway Bay Golf club 3 2 in a very exciting final, with all 3 matches won on the 18th. This is the first time in the history of the club that we had success at this level. The panel of players that have made history in the club are as follows. Sean Mulvey David McDermott Charlie Boyle Patrick Martin Kyle Flynn Paul Roche Gordon Kavanagh.
