Results from the Maria Talbot Perpetual Cup, great turnout in tough conditions Congratulations to the following winners;
Overall winner Kathleen O’Dowd (34), 2nd Geraldine Farry (33), Gross Siobhan Talbot (16), 3rd Phil Emmett (32), Cat Margaret Kiloran (21), Front 9 Sinead Weir (15), Back 9 Mary Molloy (14), 9 Holes GIG 1st Patrice Gallagher (12) and 2nd Phina Dunne (8). Ladies Getting Into Golf (GIG) programme is commencing next Tuesday 2nd May at 6.30pm at Carrick Golf club. It is an 8 week programme including professional lessons. This is an exciting opportunity to give golf a try and meet new people and enjoy a new sport. Masters Winners 2023

Congratulations to Charlie Farrell who is the winner of our Masters Competition 2023 and wins a cool €1000. Charlie beat 1014 other teams to win top prize. 2nd was Keith Tighe (€500) and 3rd was Donagh O’Mahony (€200). Thank you to everyone who played and supported our competition. Massive thank you to TheTipsy Tailor, Flynns Bar, Blueway Lodge, Moylurg Inn, JP Clarke’s and Behans Pub for their continued support.

Ladies Results

Results for last weekend’s competition which was kindly sponsored by Drumsna Garden Centre. Ist Elizabeth Muldowney 34pts, 2nd Maureen Egan 33pts, Gross Phil Emmett 26pts and 3rd Phil McWeeney 26pts.
Competition for next weekend is the Maria Talbot Perpetual Cup.

Carrick Seniors Golf

Last Thursday’s golf at Carrick was cancelled due to poor weather conditions. The next away outing is on Monday the 24th April in Roscommon.The outing to Athlone on the 24th April mentioned in last week’s notes has been cancelled.This outing has been rescheduled for Monday the 9th October. Golf as usual next Thursday.

Easter Open Results

The following are the results of the Easter open competition for both ladies and gents. Thanks to over 100 players who played, thanks also to our course staff despite all the rain had the course in excellent condition. The results are as follows. In the ladies section 1st Maureen Egan 36pts. 2 nd Geraldine Farry 29pts (B9) Gross Siobhan Talbot 23pts. 3rd Geraldine Prendiville 29pts.In the gents section Division 1 winner Daniel Egan 40pts. Division 2 Gerry Emmett 37pts. Division 3 Gerard Fennelly 43pts.
