Ladies Roscommon Cup.

Last weekend the ladies club hosted the Roscommon cup at the club. The team won this competition last year. Ladies teams from Boyle Strokestown Castlerea Athlone competed. The Ladies would like to thank all who organised this event. Thanks to the Bar and Restaurant staff who provided hot meals. The Carrick Ladies team were as follows. Monica Shannon Ann McDermott Conroy Frances Molloy Siobhan Talbot Mary Molloy Teresa Duignan Lisa Casey. Congrats to the Athlone team who were overall team winners with a score of 161 pts. The individual results are as follows. 1st Michelle Quinn Boyle 37pts. 2nd Ber Kenny Athlone 36pts. Gross Yvonne Walsh Athlone 16pts. 3rd Monica Shannon Carrick 35pts. 4th Catherine Fitzgerald Athlone 33pts.

Gent’s Hamper G.O.Y. Competition Results.

The following are the results of the Gents Hamper competition; this was the last competition in the golfer of the year series for 2024. Congrats to the overall winner of the hamper Alan Ffrench with an excellent score of 60 nett. Gross winner David McDermott. 67 gross. Division 1 winner Niall Roche 63 nett. Division 2 winner Niall Hanley 62 nett.

Senior Results

The results last Thursday in the Senior’s Christmas Hamper – Albert Hogg was the winner with a score of 38 points. In second place Leo Mulvey also with 38 points; Seamus Sheerin came third with 36 points; Chris Lowe fourth with 33 points and Leo Kavanagh came fifth also with 33 points. In the usual Thursday’s competition the results are as follows: Category one winner was Michael Keville with 31 points; Category two PJ Sharkey with 33 points and Category three was won by Tom Martin with 30 points. The front nine was won by Damien Duignan with 17 points and the back nine was won by Donal Collins also with 17 points. Golf as usual next Thursday.

Gents Winter 15 hole Turkey League Competition.

League will run for 5 weeks. Overall Winner will be decided by your cumulative points total for your best 3 cards. Prize each week for the winner of the yellow tees competition and winner of white tees competition. There will be an overall white tee competition winner and overall yellow tee competition winner. Entry Thursday to Sunday. Play off White or Yellow Tees. 15 Hole Competition over Holes 1-10, Hole 13 and Holes 15-18.
Entry Fee €10 per round

Senior Results

The overall winner last Thursday was Seán Martin with a score of 39 points. Category one winner was Tommy Mulvey with 37 points; Category two Michael Gallagher with 34 points and Category three was won by Dermot McNamara with 38 points. The front nine was won by Michael Keville with 20 points and the back nine was won by Seamus Mulhern with 18 points. Golf as usual next Thursday.

McGarry Cup Results.

The club would like to thank the McGarry Family for their very generous sponsorship of last week’s competition. A good crowd of members attended the presentation of prizes in the club house last Saturday night.
The highlight of the night was the open draw to see who would win the pairing draw. The results are as follows. Congrats to the overall winner Damian Duignan with an excellent score of 40 pts. Congrats to the ladies winner Ann McDermott Conroy with an excellent score of 39 pts. Also congrats to the pairing winners Lisa Casey 33pts and Seam Gilmartin 37pts total 70 pts .
