Message From Club Captain Paul Reid

Just a brief note to advise that this coming bank holiday weekend is my Captains Prize. There will be great prizes presented on Sunday evening (4th) at a social event with food and music on the night. I would really appreciate that you would play in this key competition for the club and attend for the prize giving. I will issue a poll separately if you can confirm by Thursday evening 1st August, if you also intend to eat at the captain’s prize dinner. The competition will have an initial qualifying 18 holes that you can play on either the Friday or Saturday. A draw for tee times will take place. A number of people will then qualify for a further 10 holes on Sunday morning. (Yes…10 holes…We will be using some of the holes out the back for this qualifier. Our holes out the back aren’t registered with Golf Ireland as a qualifying 9 holes. But we can play 10 holes and make it qualifying. Complicated, I know!). This will then be followed by the final 9 hole on Sunday afternoon on the old 9 hole course. More specific details on all of this will follow, including when to book on the timesheet. There will also be a novelty “opt in” competition over the weekend that I will sponsor, to go into a draw to win a prize of a 32” Smart TV. So please come along and play in what will be a fun weekend and social with some of the best golfers in Ireland! Regards,Paul
