A very successful outing took place to Slieve Russell on Monday the 19th June. It was a Texas Scramble Stableford Competition with 11 teams of 3 taking part. The overall winning team members were:- Tommy Mulvey, Dermot Monaghan and Liam O’Malley with an excellent score of 51 points. The runner up team members were:- Albert Hogg, Barry Donnellan and Jim Newcombe with 46 points. In third place was Reggie Carroll, Paddy Dillon and John Burke CK with 46 points. Our Barton Shield was in action in the first round in Castlebar last weekend. They were unlucky not to make the semi-finals. The team were as follows.
