Senior’s Section

It is with deep sadness that the death has occurred of our very popular Senior member John Burke Riverdale Knockvicar Co Roscommon. John was the P.R.O. of our Senior’s. Predeceased by his beloved wife Tina, parents John F and Elizabeth, brother Frank and daughter Fióna.John will be deeply missed by his loving daughters Áine, Eithne and Úna, son Martin,sons-in-law, Brian, Eamonn, Brían and Emmett, daughter-in-law Maeve, grandchildren Mark, Niamh, Anna, Aoibhe, Laoise, Ben, Seán, Grace, Leo, Florence and Bea, sisters Sr. Nora, Nancy, Maureen and Bridget, sister-in-law Rhona, brother-in-law Noel, nieces, nephews, extended family, his much loved neighbours, friends and colleagues. We in the Golf Club would like to extend our deepest sympathy to John’s Family and Friends. May he rest in Peace.

Ladies Get Into Golf.

The programme for the Ladies get into Golf starts on Tuesday 14 th of April. One Hour weekly lessons. Coaching with a P.G.A. Professional. Club membership included. Activities with club members. Golf clubs provided. Lessons time’s 7.00pm to 8.oopm and 8.00pm to 9.00pm. [image: image.png]

50/50 Draw Results

49th draw winner on the 13th of March 2026. The draw was held in the Tipsy Tailor Carrick on Shannon.The winner was Margaret Grimes keadue 620 euros . Thanks to everyone for your continued support.

Ladies Presentation.

As the new golfing season approaches, we held presentations for our final competitors of 2025, recently, in the Clubhouse. Our final sponsored competition was kindly sponsored by Artesa/Coffee Lounge, we thank the proprietors for their generosity of sponsorship and time, as they attended, on the evening, and presented the prizes. Flynn’s Bar Sponsored Spring League Round 3 Results.

This year’s league is kindly sponsored by Flynn’s Bar and is being played over 5 weeks, with the best 4 weekly scores counting for each team. That means the lowest week drops off, so no team is out of it yet and one big score can still change everything. At the top, Team 12 lead on 365 points, with Team 3 and Team 2 tied on 349, and Team 8 just behind on 348. It is very tight and the next 2 weeks will be crucial.
