Senior’s Update.

The seniors are all very saddened to have lost 2 very popular members of the seniors. The Death occurred of member Noel Beirne 5 Errill Shannon Court Carrick-on-Shannon recently. Noel is survived by his wife Stephanie. Son Garry Daughter Tracey. Daughter in Law Donna. Son in Law Niall. Grandchildren Dillion, Mia and Amy. The Death has also occurred of Tom Crowe Summerhill Carrick-on-Shannon. Tom is survived by his wife Kathleen. Daughters Fionnuala Arlene Karina Clodagh Alison and Kathy. Sons Thomas John Barry David and Brian.His 28 Grandchildren. Brothers, Barney, George, Oliver, Declan, and Brendan. Sisters Kathleen and Teresa His Daughters in Laws Sons in Law.Brothers in Law Sisters in Law. Both Noel and Tom were very popular members of Carrick Golf Club. We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to both Families. May they rest in peace. The Seniors next outing is on Monday 7 th of July to Claremorris Golf Club the first tee is at 11.00am. Result. Ladies Wednesday Scramble Results

Ladies, thank you to everyone who played in yesterday’s Scramble.. results as follows: 1st Gabrielle Madsen, Mary Moreton & Claire Grant with 26 nett. 2nd Phil McWeeney, Margaret Killoran & Anne Guckian with 27 nett and 3rd on count back Helen Martin, Kathleen O’Dowd & Autumn Wood with 29 nett. Well done all Next Wednesday we will play Captain Hugh’s Scramble. Best of luck to everyone playing for the Captain’s prize to ladies this weekend .

O.B.N. Series Starts Soon.

The first Qualifier in the OBN Series is coming around fast, its the Curamach Strings competition and this year its going to be a two man competition. Also remember there are bonus points for getting visitors to play in the qualifiers so get your little black book’s out and get your partners lined up. Competition rules will be out shortly.

Ladies Australian Spoons Qualifier.

*Australian Spoons qualifier is on this week end June 6th, 7th & 8th.* The format is Greensomes(Scotch) Foursomes means each player drives, you choose the best drive and its alternate shots, Stableford. Handicap Index(HI)Playing Handicap(PH). Course Handicap(CH).PH is calculated by adding 60% of lower CH to 40% of higher CH(No handicap limit).Current HI used to calculate CH on day of competition. The winning pair will represent the Club at the Connacht Qualifier on Wednesday 23rd July in Loughrea. The final will take place on Monday 25 August in Longford Golf Club.

Gents Cryans Hotell Sponsored Competition.

This weekend we will have a gent’s Cryans Hotel, single stroke play competition over Saturday & Sunday.Which is a Golfer of the Year comp.
Entry Fee: €10. Played Over 18 holes. Open to play from: White tees only Lift clean and place fairway only. Handicap allowance 90% Stroke play compitition
