The OBN Series is in its third year and our first Sponsor has been with us since day one. It’s the Curamach Strings Competition. Last year the sponsors changed this competition to a 2 person team event and it was a great success. It;s so unique that every 6 holes the format changes. The The first 6 holes are four ball better ball, the next 6 holes are a 2 man scramble and the final 6 holes are Scotch Foursomes. We hope you all enjoyed the Curamach Strings Competition. It was a very busy weekend for everyone with two local Golf societies outing, and Roscommon playing in Monaghan but we had a great turn out. Last year we had 49 teams (98players) . This year we had 59 teams (118 players) of the 118 players. This is a great turn out taking into account the requirement to organise opposite players. 9 who played were visitors resulting in 1,405 euro revenue for the club. The results are as follows. 1 st Hugh Gralton and Tom McGuinness 47pts. 2 nd Ryan Fanning and Logan Gutal 44pts. Conor Beirne and Evan Beirne. 4 th Paul O’Brien and Adam O’Brien 43pts. 5 th Dermot Conlon and Kevin Conlon. 43pts. Thanks again to our generous sponsors Curamach Strings Ltd.
